"Shut up!" Lightning snapped at Hope.
"I just want you to be happy!" Hope shot back.
They had like this for hours. Once it stopped something happened that sparked the fight again. The other former L'Cie watched silently from a corner.
"I don't care!" Lightning yelled.
"Why don't you want to be happy?" Hope shouted.
"Why do you want me to be happy?"
This hit Hope hard. Slowly, his eyes dropped to the floor, and for the first time that day, all was silent.
Lightning turned her back to Hope and began to walk away.
From behind her, Hope whispered so only she could hear, "You look beautiful when your happy."
Lightning stopped. Did this kid have feelings for her? Her face went red when she realized the truth about her feelings, too. Quickly, she turned and faced Hope.
"Speak up, boy, So everyone can hear you," Lightning told him.
Hope's face turned white, then, without a care in the world, he shouted, "I think Lightning Farron is beautiful when she's happy!"
This time it was Lightning that turned white. She hadn't though that he would have actually say it, or, at most, shout it to the world.
Snow emerged from the corner and walked up to Lightning.
"Looks like you have a secret admirer, sis," he winked at her.
Lighting's fists clenched. In one graceful movement, she knocked Snow to the ground.
"I'm not your sister!" Despite Serah's remarks, it felt good.
Slowly, a smile crept along her lips. Was it Snow on the ground that made her feel this way? Or, maybe it was Hope? She looked at him and he smiled back.
"Do you feel better?" He asked.
"Yes... Yes, I do," Lightning replied.
All the fightning was over and she was happy.
